Why are we called a Pawn Shop

We sell gently used Renfaire clothing, accessories, weapons and armor that we buy or have donated to the shop but we don't loan money like a modern pawn shop. We are an older version pawn shop in keeping with the theme of the faire.

How can I sell to the Pawn shop

Do you have a lot of or just a few items? Here is what to do:
Bring your items by the shop between 10 am and 1 pm any Saturday or Sunday during the first 7 weeks of faire. (other times by appointment)

No items can be sold to us or consigned with us during the last weekend of Faire.

We'll look over the items and make you a cash offer. We tend to have low prices on almost everything, so the cash offer will be even lower than you would pay for the same items used.

If you accept the cash offer, we will give you a cash ticket and our cashier will promptly pay you in the coin of the realm (US$).

What if I don't like my cash offer?

It doesn't seem like enough money? You might do better selling your items to friends and family. In certain cases you may be offered the option to consign your items. Consigning your items may bring you a higher price but it will also require more effort from you to prepare your items for sale. See the Consignments page. It takes a little effort, but it may be worth it for you.

What can I sell to the Pawn Shop?

Please DO bring your gently used renfaire garb, boots, mugs, armor, weapons, and anything else typically sold at a renfaire (except food!)
Please don't bring in modern appearing clothing: t-shirts, formal dresses that could be turned into a fairy outfit, or other normal modern clothes. Don't bring plastic things, or the types of things not sold at a renfaire. Avoid Logo items and costumes with copywrite character faces.

What if I change my mind about selling an Item?

You sold us and item by mistake? Oh no! In some cases, Master Tobar may allow a seller to buy back an item at the purchase price, should the seller change their mind very quickly completing the sale. This will not always be possible, as the item may have already been sold. Other conditions may also prevent the buy back. The final decision is Master Tobar's
